1999 Toyota Chaser Tourer V Manual JZX100 in Black

Chaser is a more sporty sedan for many and the best-looking model our of the sister cars. What makes the JZX100 even more special is the Toyota’s VVTi,  variable-valve timing was added to the 1JZ engines, they were also upgraded to give out more torque since they had already reached the legal limit set by Japanese authorities regarding horsepower. The 1JZ-GTE was powered by a single turbo configuration instead of the twin turbo of its predecessors which in turn, spools the turbo faster and at lower RPM Even though the official power figures remained at 206 kW, 276 hp at 6200 rpm, torque was increased by 20 N⋅m to 379 N⋅m at 2400 rpm. These improvements resulted in increased engine efficiency that reduced fuel consumption by 10%.
