2007 Maserati Grandsports MC Victory M138 in Victory Blue

To celebrate winning the 2005 FIA GT Manufacturers’ Cup, Maserati launched a new limited edition model of the Maserati GranSport.

The Maserati GranSport MC Victory was officially launched at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, and only 180 uniquely numbered units were produced.

As well as boasting finer standard equipment than the Maserati GranSport from which it derived, the new Maserati GranSport MC Victory offered a variety of new features that clearly linked it to the Maserati MC12 which was built on the chassis of the Enzo Ferrari.

Externally, the Maserati GranSport MC Victory was immediately recognizable for its aerodynamic, blue carbon front and rear spoilers and for the Italian flag embedded in the side panels, another feature taken from the MC12.

Body
The front splitter of the Maserati GranSport MC Victory was redesigned to guarantee more air load at high speeds with the addition of the two lateral aerodynamic profiles and a bigger protrusion. The Maserati GranSport MC Victory was now more driveable thanks to more direct and precise steering and elevated stability at high speeds, the same characteristics as the Maserati MC12.

Interior Trim
The carbon elements, similar to the exteriors, were made of blue carbon. This was coupled with a selection of leathers and Alcantara trim, used on the upper dashboard, the door panels, in the central part of the racing carbon seats to emphasize the sporty look and on the steering wheel for grip. Inside the cockpit of the Maserati GranSport MC Victory each and, every driver would be able to experience the same exhilaration as the racing drivers of the Maserati MC12. To add more the blue carbon-fibre racing seats are exactly the same design as those fitted to the Maserati MC12, Plus the cabin is upholstered in a mix of leather and Alcantara, along with extensive use of blue-flecked carbon-fibre trim throughout.

The Engine!
Powered by a 395bhp 4.2-litre aluminium V8 engine, The dry-sump F136 RB engine built by Ferrari is capable of propelling the Maserati from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 290km/h (180mph) all this driven through a six-speed Cambiocorsa automated-manual transmission with F1 style paddle shifters.
